AYR United are going retro to celebrate their centenary season.

The club have unveiled a return to the black and white hoops for their 100th year.

And the dramatic change is set to be a winner with fans already desperate to snap up the new kit.

Chairman Lachlan Cameron revealed: “I’ve wanted to do this ever since I got to the club. I’m sure the fans are going to love it.”

Ayr will retain links with their 1910 kit by sporting a crimson and gold away strip. And creative agency Paligap are continuing their sponsorship for the club’s First Division push.

Lachlan added: “We’re looking forward to the start of the season on a very positive note.

“Support from Paligap is vital to the club and enables us to focus strongly on our pitch performance, confident that our business performance is on firm footing.”

Paligap managing director Stephen Cosh is equally delighted to continue their relationship with the club.

He said: “We developed a terrific relationship during the first season’s sponsorship and to see the club move up was really the icing on the cake.

“We are delighted to support the team and the wider community and are looking forward to a prosperous season.”

Season tickets are now on sale with reduced prices for early purchasers.

Prices are: adult £220 (£205),OAPs £120 (£110), student under 23 £110 (£100), under 16s £50, under 12s £15.
