Juventus are preparing to offer former Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra a new contract.

The experienced Frenchman joined the Turin club from United in 2014 and played a key role in their run to the Champions League final last season.

Evra will turn 35 next month but Juve still value his talents and, according to Sky in Italy, will offer him a two-year extension to his current deal with an option of a further year.

The defender also revealed last week that he is determined to play until he is 40 and will not quit international football with France after Euro 2016.

Senegal-born Evra, who has made 71 appearances for France, spent eight seasons at Manchester United before departing for Italy and made over 250 appearances for the club.

He has cited former Old Trafford team-mate Ryan Giggs as an example of someone he wants to emulate by continuing to play for club and country for another five or six years.

"My models are Javier Zanetti, Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini. They all stopped at 40. So as long as I have the legs, I'll keep running," he said.
