Yannick Bolasie is closing in on a move to Everton after he travelled to Merseyside to have a medical on Sunday, according to Sky sources.

The Crystal Palace winger has also agreed personal terms on a transfer which could cost the Goodison Park club up to £28m and an announcement appears to be imminent.

It is understood Bolasie will move for an initial £22.5m with another £2.5m of add-ons, with potential for a further £3m further down the line.

That means Everton will break their transfer record - currently the £26m they paid Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku in 2014 - when the deal is confirmed.

Having already brought in close to £50m from the sale of John Stones to Manchester City and a move away for Lukaku looking likely, Everton are expected to make further signings after Bolasie as new boss Ronald Koeman reshapes his squad.

Palace are reluctant sellers of Bolasie having recruited him from Bristol City four years ago and that is reflected in the fee for the 27-year-old.

He came off the bench against West Brom on Saturday, replacing Lee Chung-Young for the final 24 minutes of the 1-0 defeat at Selhurst Park.
