With seven games played, Premier League managers will now have a clear idea of the strengths and weaknesses of their squads - and may already be considering how they can improve in the January transfer window.
Perhaps they could land a big-name player on the cheap?
A number of the Premier League's top players are in the final year of their contracts, meaning they could be available at a reduced rate in the next window - or agree a free transfer for the summer of 2017.
Manchester City, in particular, have a number of players nearing the end of their deals.
Fernandinho, Jesus Navas, Yaya Toure, Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna are all in the final months of their contracts, according to transfermarkt.co.uk
Arsenal's Santi Cazorla and Per Mertesacker, Chelsea's Jon Obi Mikel, John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic, and Manchester United trio Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonio Valencia and Michael Carrick are all in a similar position.
