Prutton's EFL predictions: Brentford v Wolves and Fulham v Blackburn

David Prutton

Sky Sports EFL expert David Prutton returns with his midweek predictions, including tips for Brentford v Wolves and Fulham v Blackburn.

There are just two games in the Sky Bet Championship on Tuesday night, meaning attention switches to the lower leagues with plenty of drama taking place in League One and League Two.

But who is Prutton tipping? Read on to find out...

Brentford v Wolves (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

It feels like a home win. I know Wolves are coming off a win over Rotherham, while Brentford recently lost, but it's no disgrace losing to Huddersfield.

Brentford have had a decent season so far - around mid-table is probably where they should find themselves come the end of the campaign

Prutton predicts: 2-0 and Romaine Sawyers to score first (55/1 with Sky Bet)

Fulham v Blackburn (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Tough one for Blackburn, even though they had a good draw with Norwich on the weekend. On the road they have been okay, but I think Fulham will be too strong for them after their great result at Newcastle on Saturday.

AFC Wimbledon v MK Dons (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

There's always some needle to this game. This for me, I'll go for a bitter, hard-fought, nasty draw.

It would be huge for the home fans given the chequered history, given that AFC rose from the ashes, so I don't think all the players know all about it, but it will be huge for the fans. This is one of those games where it really is about the fans. It will mean everything to them.

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)

Gillingham v Bolton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Bolton had a terrific victory at Fleetwood and that leaves them one point behind second-placed Fleetwood but with a game in hand. So this match against Gillingham is the sort of match they just have to win if they want to get as high as possible.

Prutton predicts: 3-2 (40/1 with Sky Bet)

Swindon v Sheff Utd (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Two defeats on the spin for Swindon, while United had no game on the weekend so they will be relatively fresh. They're also unbeaten in five and it's getting to crunch time now for the Blades if they want to secure promotion soon.

It's a tough one for Swindon as they've been battling around the bottom four for so long, you've got to fancy an away win here.

Prutton predicts: 0-2 (6/1 with Sky Bet)

Highlights of the Sky Bet League One match between Oxford and Sheffield United

Carlisle v Luton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Not too great for Carlisle at the moment with their four-game losing streak. I like the look of Luton and the fact that these two are so close in the table, with what's at stake, it's a huge statement if they can leapfrog Carlisle and solidify their place in the play-offs. I'm going to reward the fans for making the midweek trip up and go for an away win.

Prutton predicts: 0-2 (10/1 with Sky Bet)

Doncaster v Notts County (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

I think it will be a home win but not perhaps as straight-forward as you would presume given their league places. Kevin Nolan has had a good impact at County and he'll be looking to build for next season as soon as possible.

Donny will have pretty much a full-strength squad though and it's going to be tough for Notts.

Prutton predicts: 2-1 (7/1 with Sky Bet)

Wycombe v Plymouth (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Gareth Ainsworth was manager of the month back in November, but it will be a tough one for his side - although they are unbeaten in three.

So despite the fact they face second-placed Plymouth, I'm going to say they'll upset the odds and go unbeaten in four - in what will be a tight affair.

Prutton predicts: 1-0 (13/2 with Sky Bet)
