Asmir Begovic has put a decision on his Chelsea future on hold, insisting nothing matters but trophies at this moment.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper has made just one Premier League appearance for Chelsea this season under Antonio Conte, having played 17 times in the 2015-16 campaign.

Chelsea signed Begovic from Stoke for £8m in 2015, and Conte insisted in January the 'keeper would not be allowed to leave unless a replacement was brought in.

The fitness and form of Thibaut Courtois has restricted Begovic primarily to EFL Cup appearances for the Blues, but the Bosnia-Herzegovina international insists his future at Stamford Bridge is secondary while Chelsea are still in pursuit of the Premier League and FA Cup.

Begovic, speaking at The O2 ahead of WWE Smackdown, said: "My future will be decided at the end of the season. We're preoccupied chasing two trophies, nothing else really matters besides that. Everything else will sort itself out."

Chelsea finished 10th in Begovic's first campaign with the club last season, but the former Portsmouth player is confident there is enough title-winning experience among his Blues team-mates to ensure they finish as champions this time around.

"The feeling in the camp is very positive, we're excited about the position we're in," Begovic said. "We need one more win to be champions and it's a great feeling. Everyone is buzzing.

"I wouldn't say we're nervous. The guys are experienced and have been in this position before so from that standpoint I don't think anyone is nervous.

Asked how Conte has turned Chelsea into title contenders this season, Begovic added: "You have some new energy when a new manager comes in but in honesty not that much. We've performed more consistently and things have gone our way, that's pretty much it."
