Brentford defender Maxime Colin admits he does not know what his future holds after the club signed new right-back Henrik Dalsgaard.
The Bees confirmed on Monday that Denmark international Dalsgaard will join in a £930,000-deal when the transfer window opens next month and become the club's third right-back alongside Colin and Josh Clarke.
French defender Colin, who made 40 appearances last season, recently turned down the offer of a new contract and says talks with the club have gone cold over the last few weeks.
"I knew one month or so ago that they were looking for a new right-back," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I can't say the reason they signed him. The question is for the directors of football. They wanted a new right-back.
"I can't say that if they bring in a right-back it's because they want me to leave or they expect me to leave. I don't know.
"We were talking about a new contract but I haven't signed anything yet. They offered me something but I didn't accept. We are still talking but not much at the moment.
"I am sure we will talk more when I come back (from the holiday break). We will see what happens then, now we have three right-backs with Josh, the new one and myself.
"I still have two years remaining on my contract so it's not like I am free in the summer. We will see what will happen in this market.
"The gaffer is happy with me, how I play and I feel really good at Brentford. I'm happy here."
Colin, 25, signed for Brentford from Anderlecht in 2015.
