Leeds have confirmed that Ronaldo Vieira has signed a new four-year contract at Elland Road.
The midfielder made his debut in the final game of last season at Preston and became a mainstay in the Leeds side in the most recent campaign, making 38 appearances in all competitions.
The 18-year-old, who recently won the club's young player of the year award, has now extended his stay, signing a deal until at least the end of the 2020/21 season.
Vieira scored his first goal for Leeds in November as he hit a late winner in the 3-2 victory at Norwich.
His performances for Leeds have earned him a first call-up to England's U20 squad and he is in line to make his international debut later this month in the Toulon Tournament.
Elsewhere, Sky sources understand Leeds are set to exercise an option to extend head coach Garry Monk's contract by a further 12 months, with the 38-year-old's current deal expiring this summer.
