All the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumours from across the British and European press on Sunday, July 9.

Paris Saint-Germain will look to sign Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho if they fail to land Monaco's Kylian Mbappe, according to L'Equipe.

The Ligue 1 club are keen to snap up Mbappe from their domestic rivals Monaco, but they will face stiff competition from Real Madrid to land the teenager.

L'Equipe claim that PSG have an alternative target, namely Liverpool's Coutinho. Liverpool have intimated on several occasions that the Brazil international is not for sale.

Virgil van Dijk has told Southampton he only wants to join Liverpool, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Zinedine Zidane was reportedly keen to sell James, who cost £60m from Monaco in 2014, last year.

Real president Florentino Perez is keen to recoup as much of that £60m as possible, and a move to PSG seems most likely.
