Arsenal beat Bayern Munich on penalties in Shanghai, with Alex Iwobi on target in stoppage-time and then from the spot.

Robert Lewandowski had needed just nine minutes to fire German champions Bayern ahead but Iwobi's last-gasp header meant the International Champions Cup game went straight to a shootout.

Emiliano Martinez saved from David Alaba and Juan Bernat, while Renato Sanches hit the bar, with only Mohamed Elneny fluffing his lines for the Gunners.

Aaron Ramsey, Nacho Monreal and Iwobi made no mistake as Arsene Wenger's side kept their winning pre-season run going after victories in Australia.

Both sides fielded a mixture of first-team regulars and reserves, with new Bayern signing James Rodriguez and new Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette starting, but both failing to convert chances.
