Manchester United target Ivan Perisic is close to signing a new contract at Inter, according to Sky in Italy.
Jose Mourinho has been trying to sign the Croatia star all summer, with a number of offers rejected, and the Portuguese boss recently praised their determination to keep him.
"Perisic is determined to stay," Spalletti told Sky in Italy. "There was a moment [when he considered moving], but then he spoke like a footballer who is interested in doing the right thing for his professionalism and he drew a conclusion."
Inter were holding out for £48m from United and an agreement was thought to be getting close in July, with Inter enquiring about the possibility of taking United forward Anthony Martial as part of the deal.
But Mourinho appeared resigned to missing out on him even before their season opener against West Ham at the weekend, stating Inter "are strong, they put up a good defence to keep someone who's an important player for them. That's football".
Perisic has been playing in Italy since the summer of 2015, scoring 18 goals in 70 Serie A games since joining them from German club Wolfsburg two games into the 2015-16 season.
The 28-year-old has also scored 16 goals in 57 games for his country.
