Leeds are in talks to sign Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga on a season-long loan deal, according to Sky sources.

The 25-year-old forward has scored 30 goals in 107 appearances for the Bundesliga club since joining from Hertha Berlin in 2013.

Leeds have moved swiftly to replace Chris Wood, who joined Premier League club Burnley in a £15m move earlier this month.

The Whites signed Dutch striker Jay-Roy Grot from NEC Nijmegen on a four-year deal on Thursday, while Thomas Christiansen is also keen to sign Lasogga after allowing Souleymane Doukara and Marcus Antonsson to leave this summer.

Lasogga began his career with Bayer Leverkusen before moving on to Hertha in 2010 after just one season at the BayArena.

He went on to score 24 goals in 70 games for the senior side before securing his move to Hamburg.
