Chelsea v Tottenham: Cesar Azpilicueta and Dele Alli miss out in Matt Le Tissier's combined XI

We challenged Matt Le Tissier to pick his best combined XI from Chelsea and Tottenham ahead of their Nissan Super Sunday showdown at Stamford Bridge.

The Southampton legend has gone with a Tottenham majority, finding no room for Cesar Azpilicueta or Cesc Fabregas.

However, he has also opted against picking Spurs captain Hugo Lloris while Dele Alli, who played just 22 minutes of England's recent friendlies, also fails to make it into his side.

Here's Le Tiss' combined XI and his explanation...

It's a hard one to start with but I've just gone with Thibaut Courtois. I think he's slightly in front of Hugo Lloris in terms of his shot-stopping ability and offers bit more presence in the area. They are probably the second and third best goalkeepers in the league behind David de Gea.

Then at right-back, Victor Moses hasn't quite been as consistent as he was in the league-winning campaign and I like Kieran Trippier, with his delivery up there with the best around.

I'm going for the Belgian centre-back pairing of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, who is on a different level to Davinson Sanchez. I think it would be a big blow if Tottenham fail to keep hold of Toby.

Cesar Azpilicueta is a little unfortunate to be left out as he's very consistent, but I think he's the only Chelsea centre-back who can feel aggrieved based on their performances this season.

On the left, I've got Marcos Alonso, which is one of the easier decisions. Ben Davies has done well but the goals Alonso offers you is a real bonus and you can't afford to leave that out.

N'Golo Kante has to be among my holding midfielders. Winning two Premier League titles in a row with different teams is phenomenal and I don't think there's anyone better in the business in his role. He must be a manager's dream with the amount of ground he covers.

Alongside him I've got Mousa Dembele. That partnership won't get you many goals but in terms of strength and ball carrying he is fantastic. When all of the Tottenham players are saying he's their best player you can't really argue with that.

Then I've got Eden Hazard on the left. He's world class and I don't think there would be a combined XI involving Chelsea that he wouldn't get in. He's simply unplayable on his day.

On the right, I've got Heung-Min Son, who has had a phenomenal season for Spurs. I was pretty impressed with him last season, getting 21 goals in all competitions, and his consistency levels have improved with another 18 in this campaign. For me it's a no-brainer for him to start instead for Fernando Llorente at Stamford Bridge with the threat he offers in behind.

Christian Eriksen is central of the three and one of my favourite players in the Premier League. I'm not sure whether it is just because I like a player who can affect games without being quick, but in terms of goals, assists and seeing passes others don't makes his contribution huge. Harry Kane must love playing with him.

My easiest decision of the entire team is Kane leading the line. He's done alright for a one-season wonder! Proving incredibly consistent and is just an absolute goal machine.
