Been on Arsenal's books for 7 years yet has nearly double the caps for Costa Rica as appearances for Arsenal
There's a long list of duds: Lupoli, Owusu-Abeyie, Aliadiere, Senderos, Merida, A Traore, Botelho, Bischoff, Chamakh, Mannone, Bendtner, Eisfeld, J Campbell, Miyaichi, Ju-Yeong Park, Sanogo, Wellington Silva, Bielik, & Asano...
The best recent one - Gnabry- he shipped out!
Feel sorry for Joel, he’s a pretty good player, I was excited t li see what he’d do after the 2014 World Cup but he was never given a chance at Arsenal. Weird as he was better than Walcott l, being both quick and strong with more of an end product. Hope he does well in Italy.
There's nothing wrong with taking a chance on unknowns but you need to bin them if they aren't good enough (e.g. Rob Holding)
Shame, another player not given a proper chance. Good luck to him.
More surprised he's still there, than that he's leaving!
He did sign for Arsenal in 2011 but made his debut at the start of the 2014/15 season, if I recall correctly he had trouble getting a work permit so was loaned out for a few years, he hadn’t kicked a ball for Arsenal’s first team prior to the World Cup 2014
Why not keep Campbell as a squad player
Who do Arsenal actually have to play with pace on the wings?
