Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training at Juventus on Wednesday for the first time since a rape allegation against him was made public.

The Portugal forward was back with the first team in Turin after being given time off in the build-up to the side's match against Young Boys, a game he missed through suspension.

He was photographed on Tuesday night watching the 3-0 Champions League win from the stands with his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and his son.

Lawyers representing Kathryn Mayorga, the woman who has filed a civil case against the former Manchester United winger, will hold a media conference in Las Vegas late on Wednesday night to go into detail about the allegation.

Ms Mayorga claims that Ronaldo sexually assaulted her in Las Vegas in 2009.

The five-time World Footballer of the Year described the claims, originally published in German magazine Der Spiegel, as "fake news" in a video post on Instagram over the weekend.

His attorney Christian Schertz insists the allegation is "manifestly illegal" and is "one of the most serious violations in personal rights in years."
