Mesut Ozil polarises opinion and should be judged on his performances in bigger games, insists Graeme Souness

Mesut Ozil hailed Arsenal's display of "sexy football" during their Monday Night Football victory over Leicester at the Emirates.

Arsenal recovered from a goal down to beat Leicester 3-1, with Ozil scoring the equaliser on the stroke of half-time before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's second-half double.

Ozil, who captained Arsenal from the start for the first time on Monday, played a key role in both of Aubameyang's goals and his man-of-the-match display was instrumental in their 10th successive victory.

"I think we played some sexy football tonight. Proud captain of this team and this club!" Ozil said on Twitter after Arsenal moved up to fourth in the Premier League table.

Meanwhile, Arsenal head coach Unai Emery expressed his delight with Ozil's performance, but stressed he will demand more from the German and the rest of the players.

"Mesut Ozil had a very good performance today. We are going to push to demand more from ourselves and from him also," Emery said.

"In the team we have a lot of players with this capacity (to be captain) because each player can help us with their quality and capacity.
