Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Maurizio Sarri admits 'tactical problem'

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri admits he has a "tactical problem" and is struggling to fit Ruben Loftus-Cheek into the side despite the midfielder scoring a hat-trick in Thursday's Europa League win over Bate Borisov.
The England man has started only two games for Chelsea this season.
The 22-year-old is below four other midfielders in the pecking order.
"We have four midfielders and three of them have the same characteristics," Sarri told BT Sport.
"They are offensive midfielders, only one has other characteristics - [N'Golo] Kante is a defensive midfielder. So it is very difficult to put in the starting XI two midfielders with the same characteristics.
"We have a tactical problem with the midfielders.
"At the beginning of the season he [Loftus-Cheek] was a very good player and now he is a good player that is more suited to my style of football."
As well as Kante, Sarri has often used summer signings Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic in midfield, as well as England's Ross Barkley.

Loftus-Cheek spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace and was impressive, scoring twice and assisting five times in 25 appearances.
His form earned him a call-up to England's senior squad in November 2017 and manager Gareth Southgate said he was "capable of anything" after his man-of-the-match debut performance against Germany.
But since progressing from Chelsea's academy in 2014, the midfielder has made just 35 appearances in all competitions for the first team.
His most successful season was in 2015-16, when he was given 404 minutes in the Premier League - already less than what Kovacic, Jorginho and Kante have achieved this season in just nine matches.
However, following impressive performances against Vidi and Bate Borisov in the Europa League, Loftus-Cheek is pushing for a start in the Premier League and his chance could come this Sunday against Burnley.
Sarri says he will "need to change six or seven players" for that game, though Jorginho did not feature, while Kante and Kovacic played less than 90 minutes against Bate Borisov.
After picking up the first hat-trick of his career, Loftus-Cheek is full of confidence and admitted "it was a nice feeling" when he was congratulated by his team-mates.
"It feels really good. I walked into the dressing room and the players gave me a round of applause and a cheer," said Loftus-Cheek.

Otherwise it might be loan moves and sub appearances for the next few years.
Lotus-Cheek fits that mould, but needs game time in that team, and he will continue to improve.
Instead of having one or two spare midfielders, CFC have FOUR!
Their squad is 27 players - it's far too many (and doesn't include the many more out on loan).
Not sure what can be done about it - RLC has an easy life, loadsa money (but will probably never get a winners medal because of lack of appearances).
I reckon if Ruben is patient this season and takes his chances then the number of games the club will play will help and with Fabregas, Drinkwater and maybe Kovacic gone by next summer, the future will be his.
Morata is as effective as a cat flap in an elephant house, and has scored as many goals in twelve games as Loftus-Cheek has in one.
I think it is time for a change.
Agree about Lukaku and de Bruyne but Courtois was first choice when he left and matic was a regular starter. Cech was getting on a bit and left to secure first team in his old age. Not really the same situation
RLC should actively seek a permanent move in January.
